Importance of Eucharistic Adoration:

When speaking of Eucharistic adoration, one could use that phrase from the Gospel of Saint John: "The Master is there and calls you" (John 11:28)."The Master is in the Eucharist and from there calls us." Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist as food and support in our pilgrimage to the Father. He is also our only consolation in many moments of our life and he also asks us for an act of faith to recognize him in the bread that is exposed to our sight. If we sincerely seek Him above all else, we can say that we have also chosen the best part, that it will never be taken from us.

Eucharistic Adoration is always considered united to the Holy Mass, as an extension of it, and constitutes one of the most important forms of worship in the life of the Church. Eucharistic Adoration is a moment of intimacy, of trust, of friendship with Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, the Friend, the Brother, the Companion in our pilgrimage towards eternal life. In these moments of prayer before Jesus Christ present in the Sacred Species, it is necessary to act internally, faith in the real presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, hope, charity, to realize that his presence there, in the bread It is a gesture of personal love for each man, for you. The Master is present and calls you. It is the opportune moment to renew the purposes of holiness and a generous response to the love of God. Adoration of Christ is also accompanying him with feelings of reparation for his own sins and those of all men and making our deepest feelings of Jesus our own.

May we learn, in the Heart of Mary, to be truly “Eucharistic” men and women. May we be able to safeguard in the tabernacle of our hearts the living presence of Christ which we receive in the Eucharist in order to be clear channels of His presence in the world.
