May Our Lord Jesus Christ and his beloved Mother Mary guide and protect our community!

We, the Catholic people of St. Raymond Catholic Church in Miami, Florida, are a welcoming, caring community of believers, composed of different ethnic origins, who see ourselves as living witnesses to Christ's presence and His on-going ministry in our society.  We strive to build a vibrant faith community through evangelization and active participation in the liturgy and through our acceptance, love and support of each parishioner.  St. Raymond is a profoundly generous parish with many people sharing their time, talent, and their treasure for the support of the community.  Guided by the Holy Spirit, we pledge our spiritual and financial support to our Faith community and to others who have need of us.  May our Lord Jesus Christ and his beloved Mother Mary guide and protect our community always.

Our Church

St. Raymond Catholic Church was established as a parish in 1965. At that time, Monsignor Orlando Fernandez, who would be his first pastor, celebrated Sunday mass in the Ponce de León Elementary School cafeteria. With the support of that small group of parishioners and many other taxpayers, in December 1969, the land inspection for the construction of the Church took place. On June 27, 1971, the works inauguration ceremony was held and almost a year later, on Saturday, May 13, 1972, Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll celebrated the dedication Mass with the participation of more than 800 parishioners and friends.

The mission of our Catechetical Program is to provide our community with opportunities to grow in faith, live the Gospel message and deepen the relationship with Jesus and Mary’s hearts.
