The Eucharist
At every Mass, heaven opens—and you are invited.
The Eucharist is not a symbol. It is Jesus Christ Himself—His Body, His Blood, His Soul, His Divinity—given to you in love. When He says, “This is my body… this is my blood” (Matthew 26:26–28), He means it. When He declares, “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35), He fulfills it in the Eucharist.
Pope John Paul II writes, “The Church draws her life from the Eucharist” (Ecclesia de Eucharistia, 1). This is the source. This is the summit. This is where everything flows and to where everything returns.
The Eucharist is the Heart of Jesus, living and beating in the midst of His people.
The bread becomes His Body. The wine becomes His Blood. The altar becomes Calvary—made present, not repeated. You are not watching from afar; you are drawn into the sacrifice of love.
Mother Adela Galindo, the Foundress of the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, says, “The Eucharist is the outstanding gift of love of the Sacred Heart” (piercedhearts.org). She also teaches, “The Blessed Sacrament is the living heart of each of our churches” (piercedhearts.org). Here, Love remains.
When you receive the Eucharist, you are not receiving something—you are receiving Someone. Christ comes into your very being. He heals, strengthens, and transforms you from within.
He gives Himself completely. And He invites you to do the same.
Come to Mass this Sunday. Or, prepare for your First Communion. Receive the One who gives Himself entirely for you—and allow your heart to become like His.
