Confession

There is no sin greater than the mercy of God.

Reconciliation is where you encounter the Heart of Jesus that forgives, restores, and makes you new. When the risen Christ says, “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them” (John 20:23), He entrusts this mercy to His Church—for you.

Pope John Paul II pleads, “Do not be afraid to go to confession!” (Reconciliatio et Paenitentia). These are not just words—they are an invitation into freedom.

Sin burdens your heart. It distances you from God. But mercy restores what sin has broken.

When you speak your sins aloud, you step into truth. When the priest extends his hand and speaks absolution, Christ Himself speaks: you are forgiven. You are free. You can begin again.

Mother Adela Galindo, the Foundress of the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, says, “A contrite heart… is the necessary foundation for a life of holiness” (piercedhearts.org). In confession, your heart is reshaped—made humble, open, and ready to receive love.

This sacrament is not about shame. It is about being loved in your weakness. It is about being found.
Come back to confession this week. Do not wait. The Heart of Jesus is open for you—ready to forgive, ready to heal you, ready to restore, ready to love you.
